Identifiers

Better PIM simplifies product identification through several core attributes which provide you different fields for identification. It enables you to efficiently store essential identifiers like Product Code, MPN, UAN, EAN, GTN barcode, and more. In addition to that, the PIM also provides serialization capability, i.e. maintaining a unique identifier for each unit. These details are pivotal at the product level and contribute to accurate product tracking and management.

Serialization within Better PIM allows you to uniquely identify individual physical products and their variants. For instance, a product code like PC-001 can have variants such as PC-001-Red-S and PC-001-Red-M. Furthermore, the system supports detailed tracking of units, such as PC-001-Red-S-001, PC-001-Red-S-002, and more. This level of granularity aids in tracking inventory at the unit level for all transactions - orders, deliveries, returns, stock movement from warehouse to store or any other movement. Serialization also allows to manage prices, expiry at different batch level, or for that matter even at the unit level.

The PIM allows you to maintain supplier information at the product level along with the country of origin and their respective HSN Code as well.
